Naples Philharmonic Changes Name to Artis-Naples
The Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts announced on April 19 that it was changing its name to Artis-Naples. This decision came after surveys, focus groups, and many discussions. The name change is meant to change the perception of the institution from just an orchestra hall to a complex that hosts programs of many different arts. Taste of Collier Next Sunday
Next Sunday, April 28th, from 12 - 4pm, the long-standing Taste of Collier will be held at Bayfront in Naples. This family-fun event will feature live music, an ice carving contest, samples from local restaurants, and a chef's competition. The Taste of Collier began in 1983 as a way to show appreciation to year-round Naples residents for being patrons of the local restaurants.
